Alguien tiene idea por qué está ese "had" ahi? No tiene sentido para mi, tuve que aprender de memoria a decirlo así pero tendría mucho mas sentido SIN el had:

en mi opinión, si alguien dice 'we better go' es por ser perezosa o no culto.

Yo siempre diría 'we'd better go' en vez de 'we had better go'.

ah pero entonces en "we'd better go" es "had" o "would" porque con "would" tendría mas sentido...

"We had better go" is the correct phrase. Like John said, most people contract it to "We'd better go" unless they want to sound formal.

Often the 'd is hard to hear in fast speech, and it ends up sounding like "We better go". And some people really say "We better go", but that's very informal speech.

Interesting what you said about "would", Noelia. I'd never though about it before, but it does make more sense with "would". Who knows, maybe that was the original form? But nowadays it's definitely "had" and not "would".

Estoy hablando con John por skype, y le decía que para mi "we had better go" me suena a "mejor nos hubieramos ido" y por eso no tiene sentido si estamos hablando en presente-futuro...

Con "would" tampoco tiene mucho sentido pero es mas facil de imaginar en mi mente,...
