Tengo que traducir esta frase y no tengo idea como:

" This is the nitty gritty, down and dirty, bad ass game"

(hablando de un partido de basketball en Venice, CA)

It's trash talk which doesn't mean anyhting precise in English !!!

The sense is that the game is:-
- important to both teams either because they hate each other or they both need points,
- likely to be a game with a lot of physical play and not one with a lot of 'open play'
- a game with a lot of fouls and with players trying to hurt each other.

How you put that into Spanish, I have no idea. Quizas, "Como un superclassico tipico entre Boca y River." ?

This is not going to be a nice game. Everyone will try to win at any cost. Cheating is not out of the question, and sissies need not apply. If someone complains about rough play or unfairness, you'll tell him, "No seas marica". "Sin cuartel" captures part of the idea well, but that's not a very colloquial phrase.
